Who am I?

As a little boy, I spent most of my free time outdoors. I was fascinated by insects, reptiles, and amphibians – animals that were small, yet closest to my reach.
As the years went by, priorities changed, and even though nature never stopped being close to my heart, I gradually spent less and less time in it.
That changed the moment I found my dad’s old DSLR, covered in dust in the back of a closet. Picking it up might have been just a small impulse, but looking back, I know it was one of those moments that quietly steer your life back onto the right path.
At first, it was just an excuse to spend more time outside. But photography gave me so much more.
It taught me to discover the beauty of nature, to see the world through different eyes, and to notice details I used to overlook.
Soon it was no longer just a hobby – it became a passion that completely absorbed me.
I started with macro photography, which I still focus on the most, and later expanded into wildlife, landscapes, plants, and finally urbex.
I’m not the kind of person who spends endless hours waiting for the perfect shot, though sometimes there’s no other way. Occasionally, I have to hide in a blind for hours – or even tens of hours – just to capture that one perfect moment.
Most of the time, however, I combine photography with hiking. Whether I manage to get the perfect shot or not, I always take home the most valuable thing – time spent outdoors, far away from the rush and noise of the modern world.
And that, for me, is the greatest reward.
