Habitat: Forest-steppe zones, dry sunny slopes, thickets, forest edges, vineyards, abandoned quarries
Diet: Insects, spiders, worms, snails
Activity: Active all day, especially mornings and late afternoons


Slow Worm
(Anguis fragilis)
Habitat: Forest edges, clearings, fields, meadows, quarries, humid sites
Diet: Insects, spiders, worms, slugs
Activity: Mostly at dawn and dusk, occasionally after rain
